Lars has had a very successful career at Scandinavian Airlines Systems culminating as its Senior Vice President and Accountable Manager and Chief Security Officer of the SAS Group. Lars also held the position of SAS Nominated Postholder Flight Operations and Crew Training and served as President and CEO of SAS Flight Academy AB.
During his airline career Lars has been involved in major restructuring and efficiency programs with demanding change of business models. Lars held many Board positions within and outside the SAS Group, including the Board of SAS Sweden AB, SAS Denmark AS and SAS Norge AS and SAS Intercontinental. Since 1993 he has been closely working internationally for IATA in several committees, and was a key member of the IATA Operational Committee OPC. Before joining the airline business Lars spent more than 10 years as a fighter pilot and officer within the Norwegian Air Force.
