Usman has over 13 years of experience working for OEMs, consultancies and aircraft lessors. He has led many successful projects, which include setting up airlines, aviation businesses, auditing lessors and asset management services. Usman has advised on several transactions worth more than a USD billions and has reviewed/audited many operators, OEMs, MROs and leasing companies. Usman was a member and adviser on the Helicopter Association International (HAI) Finance & Leasing Committee, He is also a Senior Accredited Appraiser with American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and is a graduate in Aeronautical Engineering from City University London. Usman has advised on and assisted with many high-profile acquisitions such as GECAS-Milestone, Babcock-Avincis and Emirates A380-800s. In addition, Usman has advised on many finance and leasing deals for banks, lessors and operators. He is a valuation expert and travels around the world to educate banks, lessors and operators on valuation methodologies and value retention techniques. He has participated in panel discussions and presented at various conferences on topics such as helicopter Finance and Leasing, valuation methodologies, engine selection, pilot training and general Helicopter Market related topics. He has been interviewed by many industry magazines and his articles regularly feature in aviation magazines around the world.
